6. INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
Note: To qualify as an Inspector, an individual must carry General Liability and Professional Liability insurance with at least $1,000,000 per occurrence for inspection-related liability and must disclose whether they carry Umbrella or Excess Liability coverage, which is recommended at $1,000,000 per occurrence but not required.

7. INDUSTRY STANDARDS
All credentialed GSCS Inspectors must be familiar with applicable provisions of OSHA regulations and ASME standards relating to the inspection of load handling equipment. Inspectors are required to own copies of applicable standards relating to the inspections they intend to conduct as credentialed GSCS Inspectors.
